Excellent Service! I would highly recommend them. We forgot to confirm our removal via email. The day of the removal I woke up at 4.30am with a doubt I realize that the removal firm was indeed not confirmed (my fault). I called the manager Dale who managed to save the day by organising a last-minute team. The guys did a fantastic job, dismantling/reassembling an expensive ottoman bed and taking it up to the second floor through an incredibly tight staircase without a scratch. They wrapped and protected everything, also items which really didn't need any protection. Everything has been moved without a scratch to the furniture and the premises. And the price was not even comparable to other moving companies in York. I have been charged lucrative quotes from other companies, given that we did all the boxes, we had very few furniture (one king bed, a sofa, table and chairs) and the old and new places were just 3 roads away. I could not believe how different the quotes were and I could not understand how to justify such a huge difference. We eventually decided to take the "risk" to go with 1 Van 1 Man Removals who quoted us a fraction of the others. I am so pleased we decided to go with them, I cannot imagine what more they could have done! Highly recommended. Just remember to confirm your booking by email.

Moved from York to Cambridge, Contacted 6 removal companies within York. But 1 Van 1 Man gave us the best quote including good communication thru emails and phone calls, the process was brilliant. Very easy move with Dale and his lifter n shifter on the day, James. Both really courteous and easy to work with. I had a guy to help me out and they were happy to work with him. I had to move stuff from two locations to a third. All done smoothly and efficiently - everything securely loaded and fixed in the van, everything unloaded to where I wanted it. Dale had also advised me where to get packing materials in York as I'd been let down by a courier. I would recommend 1 Van 1 Man - you get flexible, sympathetic, efficient service at a very good price. What are you waiting for? Move. Mike and Dave made the perfect team to help me move a 2 bed house on my own - After a quick look around and confirming what was going on the van they cracked straight on, dismantling wardrobes that wouldn’t fit down the stairs, loading boxes and negotiating a very large prickly Holly tree (well done Mike, you were a trooper!) Once at my new home they unloaded quickly and efficiently (thanks to Dave’s expert Tetris loading skills) and kept checking in with me where I needed all my furniture and belongings put. This is the second time I have used 1van1man and I will continue to do so. They made the move feel so easy, especially as it was just me as my husband was at work.
