We collect, transport and deliver your belongings to trusted storage facilities in York — whether you need a few weeks or an ongoing arrangement.

Whether you need somewhere to keep your belongings for a few weeks between house moves, or an ongoing long-term storage arrangement, we handle the transport — we collect your items and deliver them securely to the storage facility of your choice, anywhere in York.

We don't tie you to one storage provider. You choose the facility that suits you — location, size, price — and we take care of the collection, loading and delivery either side of it.

How Removals & Storage Works

1. Get in touch with your move dates and roughly how much you need stored.
2. We collect your items from your current address, just like a normal house removal.
3. We deliver them securely to your storage unit in York.
4. Whenever you're ready — weeks or years later — we collect from storage and deliver to your new address.

You deal with one point of contact throughout — us — rather than juggling a removals firm and a separate storage company yourself.

Storage Options Around York

York has a good spread of storage providers, from container storage on the outskirts to indoor, climate-controlled units closer to the city centre. Whichever suits your budget and your belongings, we'll collect from your door and deliver straight there — no need to hire a separate van or figure out the logistics yourself.

Short-Term or Long-Term — We Cover Both

• Short-term: Moving out before your new home is ready, renovating and need furniture out of the way temporarily
• Long-term: Downsizing, decluttering before a sale, or an ongoing need for extra space

Whatever your timeframe, let us know when you get in touch and we'll advise on the best option for you.

Removals & Storage York — Frequently Asked Questions

Do you have your own storage facility?

No — we transport to the storage facility of your choice anywhere in York. You pick the provider that suits you, and we handle the collection, transport and delivery.

Do you offer short-term and long-term storage?

Yes — whether you need storage for a few weeks during a house move or an ongoing long-term arrangement, we can transport your items to and from any storage facility in York.

Is my stored property insured?

Our £10,000 Goods in Transit insurance covers your belongings while they're in our care during collection and delivery. Insurance for items while they're actually in storage is arranged by you directly with your chosen storage facility.

How much notice do I need to give?

The more notice the better, especially during busy moving periods, but get in touch even for short-notice storage needs and we'll do what we can.

A Real Storage Move — In Our Customers' Words

One customer moving from YO10 to the outskirts of York had Dale and Mike handle a third-floor flat move — no small task — and described the whole thing as looking easy, which it definitely isn't. The team then saved them money on their storage unit by packing it efficiently at the other end, fitting more in than they expected.

A Repeat Customer's Experience

One customer used us twice — once to move their furniture into storage in York, and again a couple of years later for a full furniture move from York to Colchester. Both experiences were five-star, with consistent, prompt communication before each move and careful handling throughout, even on the longer journey.
