If that means putting together flat pack furniture, we can do that. Similarly, we’re able to dismantle existing furniture at the collection address then put it back together in the care home.
Residential home moves rarely exceed one or two rooms’ worth of items. We have vans specifically for this so that no fuel is wasted on a full size vehicle. Furthermore, we make sure every van is fully carpeted and items are packed responsibly so that no ornaments, heirlooms or keepsakes are damaged in transit. Moving a family member into a care home isn’t always a straight line. Sometimes you must move essentials into the care home then transport more items to another property - a friend or relative’s, for example.
If you need to book us beyond the A to B of taking someone’s belongings to the nursing home, we can do that. We’ll allocate enough time in the calendar to drive back to the collection address, load the van with more items and then transport it to a location of your choice. Alternatively, we can drive the items to storage for you to collect later when the time is right.
