I scarcely write reviews but just wanted to say that this is a super professional, friendly, and efficient moving company. From the initial quote, through to the move itself - everything just went extremely smoothly (which is NOT the case with other companies I have used). Their prices are competitive (I got quotes to check), and the crew was outstanding and super helpful which made the move, which can be very stressful, as stress free as possible. I would not hesitate to use them again. Next time, I won't even need to bother getting other quotes either!

Excellent Service! I would highly recommend them. We forgot to confirm our removal via email. The day of the removal I woke up at 4.30am with a doubt I realize that the removal firm was indeed not confirmed (my fault). I called the manager Dale who managed to save the day by organising a last-minute team. The guys did a fantastic job, dismantling/reassembling an expensive ottoman bed and taking it up to the second floor through an incredibly tight staircase without a scratch. They wrapped and protected everything, also items which really didn't need any protection. Everything has been moved without a scratch to the furniture and the premises. And the price was not even comparable to other moving companies in York. I have been charged lucrative quotes from other companies, given that we did all the boxes, we had very few furniture (one king bed, a sofa, table and chairs) and the old and new places were just 3 roads away. I could not believe how different the quotes were and I could not understand how to justify such a huge difference. We eventually decided to take the "risk" to go with 1 Van 1 Man Removals who quoted us a fraction of the others. I am so pleased we decided to go with them, I cannot imagine what more they could have done! Highly recommended. Just remember to confirm your booking by email.

My wife and I decided to move out of London. We were extremely worried about how we're going to take all our furniture with us all the way to York. Moved from York to Cambridge, Contacted 6 removal companies within York. But 1 Van 1 Man gave us the best quote including good communication thru emails and phone calls, the process was brilliant. We even ordered boxes through their box shop at the last minute and it was delivered straight to our door on time. Have already recommended this company to all my friends!

Good communication before moving, showed up on time, very well-organized. Moved from a 3-bed semidetached to house in Scotland. They loaded the van on the day and delivered all my household items the next day without damage. Really happy customer, great company, excellent team could not ask for more!

From the initial enquiry to the delivery of the piano I was impressed by the professionalism, communication and service we received. The team arrived on time were very courteous, professional and efficient. While we all knew I was paying by the hour they came in well under other moving companies in York who quoted me fixed prices. I would recommend them and most certainly use them again if needed.

Very easy move with Dale and his lifter n shifter on the day, James. Both really courteous and easy to work with. I had a guy to help me out and they were happy to work with him. I had to move stuff from two locations to a third. All done smoothly and efficiently - everything securely loaded and fixed in the van, everything unloaded to where I wanted it. Dale had also advised me where to get packing materials in York as I'd been let down by a courier. I would recommend 1 Van 1 Man - you get flexible, sympathetic, efficient service at a very good price. What are you waiting for? Move. (I feel well qualified to write this as I have moved 5 times in 12 years and used 5 removal companies including 1van1man)

Mike and Dave made the perfect team to help me move a 2 bed house on my own - After a quick look around and confirming what was going on the van they cracked straight on, dismantling wardrobes that wouldn’t fit down the stairs, loading boxes and negotiating a very large prickly Holly tree (well done Mike, you were a trooper!) Once at my new home they unloaded quickly and efficiently (thanks to Dave’s expert Tetris loading skills) and kept checking in with me where I needed all my furniture and belongings put. This is the second time I have used 1van1man and I will continue to do so. They made the move feel so easy, especially as it was just me as my husband was at work. Friendly, professional and expert furniture dismantle and re-build skills - take the stress out of your move and just get 1van1man. Promise you - they’re ace !
