Having children adds a whole new layer of planning into moving house. Not only is there a short term issue - keeping them happy and entertained during the move - you’ve also got long term prospects such as the local neighbourhood and what school they will attend. School catchment areas are crucial to…

One thing we love about York is its greenery and sustainability. We see lots of initiatives pop up across the city that help address waste reduction, climate change, community and inner city greenery. Here are some of those we’ve found in our travels. St Nicks Centre For Green Living Dubbed as The…

In February the Birmingham City Council leader made a public promise to build more houses in the area. That promise is echoed throughout the country, from hamlets and town suburbs to the inner city development areas. The Prime Minister himself has urged local authorities to plan thousands more homes…

It’s a sad but very real part of our society - empty properties dotted around neighbourhoods, blighting the local view with bordered-up windows, overgrown gardens and disused white goods in the front lawn. What a shame. Why Does It Happen? Chiefly, it’s because of bad planning. Landlords, housing…

We don’t choose our neighbours. For better or worse, who lives next door is outside our control - whether Ned Flanders, Margo Leadbetter or Johnny Rotten. Sometimes this leads to fruitful and long-lasting friendships between families. Other times, the so-called ‘neighbours from hell’ can be enough to…

Have you ever had a dispute with your neighbours? It seems that the reality in the UK couldn’t be further away from what the Australian soap would have us believe. Dale and the team did a great job of getting me moved. Reading previous reviews, I knew I had booked the right guys. The team worked really hard and battled the elements on such a horrible weather day. Definitely recommend! Will use again if I ever need anything shifting.

Awesome, quality service! Dale went out of his way to make sure we got the job done with a quick turn around, while putting care for my belongs and safety first. Great communication before and during the job - was the most enjoyable move I've had! These guys are top professionals while price was best I could find in York. Highly recommended

Just brilliant! Everything you would want from a removal company. Dale responded swiftly to my query about moving some belongings out of storage to our new house and got a quote straight back to me. On the day, Dale and Mike arrived promptly and got straight on. They were polite, friendly and professional and worked hard. Nothing was too much trouble. I am so pleased that I called 1 Van 1 Man and wouldn't hesitate to do so again and recommend Dale and his team. Thanks again!
